Many people think that pole dance is basically an activity that is widely practiced in clubs. But throughout history in many cultures, pole dancing was considered as an important event in many types of celebrations. Later on, it turned into an entertainment for the male audiences.

In pole dancing, a pole will be kept extending from the ceiling portion to the floor area. The female dancer will be balancing her body on the pole when she starts performing the dance movements. Even though it is highly sensuous, it is not vulgar. It is the art of displaying the body movements of a woman and how flexible her body is. It can also be considered as a dance that is meant for honoring and appreciating the extreme energy level of the female artists.

In general, music will be played to accompany pole dancing. Due to this music, the female dancer will be motivated to match the music rhythm along with her routine’s rhythm. A pole dancer must wear a confident and proud look on her face instead of showing her shyness and innocence. This dancing can be useful for enhancing the harmony level between a woman with a man; however its main purpose is to build the self esteem of a female artist and also to make her proud about her feminine characters.

Pole dancing is a very good exercise as it defines the arm muscles of the female dancer when she makes her dance movements by moving inside and outside of the pole. The balance level of the body will also be increased to a great extent. A female dancer who practices pole dancing for a long period of time will be having all the abilities to perform the actions such as twists, turns, balancing and hanging in all the directions very easily.

Pole dancing is an exciting, different form of exercise and will be highly suitable for girls who are bored of aerobic or spinning exercises. This dance method will be helpful for increasing the flexibility of the muscles and increasing the power and coordination of the body in many ways.

Apart from exercise, pole dancing is also practiced at several hen parties where women get together for a shower or a night party. It will be providing a wonderful opportunity to start the night on a fun note and to get rid of the inhibition factors. The inhibition can be lost by drinking; however pole dancing is helpful for losing the inhibition in a healthy way without the intake of alcohol.
